For the Ballast Water Treatment, Bio-UV designed the BIO-SEA range as complete systems that combine mechanical filtration and UV treatment (our core business) in accordance with the G8 IMO Directives. The BIO-SEA range is cost effective, modular, compact and economic, easy to install/operate/maintain, automatic, and chemical free. The main advantages of the BIO-SEA systems, capable of treating from 100 to 2000 m3/h, are that they operate automatically, interface easily, and regulate power consumption depending on water quality, thereby providing a quick return on investment. Presently, due to the 2011 successful land-based tests and the ship board testing program during the second half of 2012, BIO-SEA by Bio-UV will be type approved and will be able to propose a full service with a complete range for shipyards, ship owners, distributors, and maritime equipment handlers. |
