The sun emits invisible light - ultraviolet light. Using leading edge technology, this natural phenomenon is reproduced inside the sanitisers of the Delta UV product range using powerful UV-C ray lamps. At 254 nanometers, the optimum wavelength for destroying micro-organisms (viruses, bacteria, algae, yeast, mold, etc.), UV-C rays penetrate and disrupt their DNA, permanently deactivating the germ cell metabolism so that they cannot reproduce.
Remanent procedure
During the filtration cycle the water passes through the reactor where ultraviolet rays are emitted (it’s a physical process) : water is thus disinfected. However swimmers and different external phenomenons bring numerous micro-organisms that will pollue pool water. So it will be necessary to make water disinfectant between 2 treatments through the reactor. To make this stage easier BIO-UV designed a dosing pump which injects every day a small quantity of product that disinfects and prevents against algae appearance and calcium deposits. Thanks to the combination of UV-C and OXYGENE REMANENT action, this complete process allows that water is disinfected and disinfectant for the greatest comfort of swimmers. OXYGENE REMANENT is particularly advised for interior pools, seldom used ones (second home) and pools equipped with diatom filters. An alternative solution : you can inject every day a formula based on bromine thanks to a brominator. In order to respect running legislation, water can be disinfectant with chlorine or bromine in the case of public and/or commercial pools. Injected doses are thus halved and limit uncomfortable residues and secondary effects linked to the use of halogen products. Ultraviolets are very interesting since it destroy a part of the by-products generated by the use of these molecules (chloramines).
